Watford FC 1997-1999

This site was the second official web site for Watford Football Club. The site was created from "flat" HTML pages, this meant we had to update every page and every image ourselves. At the time we had the only email address for the club and had to liaise with supporters at home and overseas. This experience was very useful when we started to design our next sports site, which we built so that the club could update it themselves.

This Watford FC site was the first one to sell online. There was an online shop and also we sold tickets for the first time. The design was based on the club's matchday programme at that time. It was built to resize the navigation if you clicked on the "maximise/minimise" button. There was also a low-bandwidth "Tiblisi" version of the site that we built for one ex-pat fan who had very, very limited bandwidth at the time. This was also the first site we built that had audio commentary.
